Where to add DNS records at your registrar
Add the TXT, A and CNAME records where your domain's DNS is managed. GoDaddy - Domain, DNS, Manage DNS, Add record. Namecheap - Domain List, Manage, Advanced DNS. Cloudflare - DNS, Records, with the proxy set to DNS only until SSL is issued.
Steps
- Find where your DNS is managed. It is usually where you bought the domain; if you moved DNS to another company (for example Cloudflare), add the records there.
- GoDaddy: Domain → DNS → Manage DNS → Add record.
- Namecheap: Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS → Add new record.
- Cloudflare: DNS → Records → Add record. Set the proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud) until Nysroc has issued your SSL certificate.
- Other registrars: look for DNS, Zone editor or Advanced DNS.
- If a record with the same host already exists (for example an old A record for @ or a CNAME for www), edit it instead of adding a second one.
- Leave MX records alone so your email keeps working.
