Nysroc AI: where it runs, and your choices

Managed Nysroc AI runs on DeepSeek's API, so the text you send to it is processed in China, not in Canada. You can turn Nysroc AI off, use your own AI provider key instead, or set your workspace to Canada-only. Do not use Nysroc AI with health data.

Go to: Open your workspace (Settings → AI) (https://your-business.nysroc.com/app)

• Managed Nysroc AI: runs on DeepSeek's API. What you type into AI features (and the records an AI feature reads to answer you) is processed in China. Usage counts against your plan's monthly AI allowance.
• Turn it off: an owner or admin can switch Nysroc AI off for the whole workspace. Everything else in Nysroc keeps working.
• Your own key: connect your own AI provider account (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure OpenAI or Mistral). Your key is stored encrypted and is write-only; usage is billed by your provider, not counted by Nysroc.
• Canada-only: set the workspace to Canada-only and only models that run in Canada can be used; managed AI in China is blocked.
• Default: managed Nysroc AI is on by default for every workspace. An owner or admin can change it at any time.
• Health data: do not use Nysroc AI with health information.
• Writes need your confirmation: invoices, emails, posts and payments always show a preview first.
• No training on your data by Nysroc.

Steps

1. Open your workspace → Settings → AI (owner or admin).
2. Choose: Off, Managed Nysroc AI, Your own key, or Canada-only.
3. For your own key, paste it once; it is never shown again.
