Try changes safely in your Sandbox

Your Sandbox is a private copy of your workspace and website at sandbox.<your-name>.nysroc.com. Try anything there: emails and texts are kept in an outbox instead of being sent, payments only work in Stripe test mode, ads never spend, and the phone is off. When you like a change, promote it to your live business; it can be undone in one click.

Steps

  1. Go to app.nysroc.com/sandbox and click Create sandbox. Leave "Hide personal data" ticked unless you need real customer details to test.
  2. Open the sandbox (sandbox.<your-name>.nysroc.com/app). The orange bar at the top means you are in the copy, not your live business.
  3. Make your changes: custom fields, forms, workflows, print formats, roles, automations, website pages, settings, reports, dashboards.
  4. Back on the Sandbox page, review "Changes ready to promote", tick the ones you want and type PROMOTE followed by your workspace name to confirm.
  5. Nysroc backs up your live business, applies the changes and checks everything works. If you change your mind, click Undo this promote.

What is switched off in the sandbox

What is promoted, and what never is

Only setup and settings are promoted. Invoices, payments, stock, customers and other day-to-day records are never copied from the sandbox to your live business. If someone changed the same item in your live business after you made the sandbox, it is marked "Changed in live too" so you can decide before overwriting it.

Plans and limits

The free Website plan includes a website sandbox: preview draft changes to your site before you publish them. The Lite and Starter plans include the website sandbox too; the Plus and Advanced plans include one full sandbox (workspace and website). A sandbox sleeps after 7 days without use and is deleted after 30 days without use; we email the workspace admins before it is deleted. Your live business is never affected. Only a workspace admin can create, promote or delete a sandbox.
